4-H PUBLIC HOUSING MINI-SOCIETY PROJECT
Mini-Society uses an experience-based approach to teach youth, ages 8-12, entrepreneurship, citizenship, economics, ethics, government, and decision-making.

DO SOMETHING
Each fall and each spring, Do Something gives grants of $500 each to 10 young people who submit creative proposals for solving local problems. Members of Do Something’s Youth Advisory Council evaluate the proposals and award grants to the most deserving projects in three areas: community building, health, and the environment.

HISPANIC YOUTH LEADERSHIP: ATTITUDES FOR SUCCESS
The program’s mission is to: 1) develop leadership skills, self-esteem, interactive skills like problem solving and conflict resolution, long term goals and objectives, character and integrity (values clarification), and physical fitness and wellness; 2) build awareness of Hispanic history and heritage; and 3) improve academic skills and encourage youth to complete high school and further their education.

CESAR CHAVEZ LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
The Conference helps Latino(a) youth learn more about becoming leaders and helps them learn about contemporary issues within the Latino(a) community. It also encourages Latino(a) youth to pursue educational opportunities beyond high school.
