10th Anniversary Community Photo Contest

Cherokee Preservation Foundation sponsored a photo contest to encourage the community to be part of its 10th Anniversary Celebration, and we received 59 wonderful photos from contestants illustrating cultural preservation, economic development and environmental preservation -- the areas on which the Foundation focuses.  The judges had a challenging but very enjoyable task. At an August 23 reception at Qualla Arts & Crafts Mutual, the following winners were announced.  Photos will be exhibited at Qualla Arts & Crafts through September 5, 2012.  Honorable Mention photos are featured on the right side of the home page.
